When it comes to fascinating attractions in the world, most people love to seek out and experience a visit to the top floor or observation deck of the world's tallest buildings.  The tallest building in the world right now is Burj Dubai which stands at 818 meters (2,684 feet) tall and is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.  The building holds a number of other records too including the most floors in one building (160) as well as being the tallest freestanding structure in the world.  A number of the world's most famous companies have reserved space in this marvel of modern engineering, and one look at it and it is easy to see why.  There are also apartment spaces available too, the thought of living in such a structure has driven the price of available units high, but has not decreased any interest in the renting of them. The Burj Dubai is constructed by a South Korean company, Samsung Engineering & Construction.

Roller coasters have been popular amusement park attractions since the early 1900s, but there are few things more thrilling than the modern roller coaster.  When it comes to finding the tallest roller coaster in the world, a traveler would have to go all the way to Jackson Township, New Jersey in the United States and visit the Six Flags Great Adventure amusement park there.  The tallest roller coaster in the world is Kingda Ka which stands 139.5 meters (456 feet) tall.  Roller coaster enthusiasts have another reason to seek out the Kingda Ka, it is also the world's fastest roller coaster.  Riders on this coaster reach speeds up to 206 kilometers (128 miles) per hour.  With all this, it is no wonder that Kingda Ka is one of the most visited sites for thrill seekers from around the world.

The tallest waterfall in the world is Angel Falls in in Venezuela.  At 979 meters (3,212 feet) high, Angel Falls is one of the most dramatic sights to see in the entire world.  One of the most amazing facts about the falls is that the water falls so far that before it reaches the surface of the river below it is vaporized and turned into a thick mist.  Angel Falls is the most popular tourist destination in Venezuela and is located in the Canaima National Park.  While it is possible for travelers to visit the falls, it is not an easy trip, though it can be seen from both aerial tours as well as from the ground.

The tallest bridge is the  Millau bridge, in France. It is located 891 feet above the Tarn River valley. The highest mast peaks at 1,130 feet, a bit taller than the eiffel tower. The bridge connects  Paris to Béziers and it has four lanes.  Driving through the bridge one will feel as though one was riding in the air.

The Yokohama Marine tower is the tallest functioning light house in the world. It was built in 1961 to commmemorate the opening of Yokohama seaport. It reaches a height of 106 meters (348 feet).  Its light is unique in that it flashes every 10 seconds.  In its observation deck you can view Yokohama harbor as well as Mount Fuji.  The lighthouse, is also a popular tourist attraction with restaurant, souvenier shop and observation deck. It costs about 750 yen per adult admission.

The Spring Temple Buddha, completed in 2002 and located in Henan, China is the tallest statue in the world standing at 420 feet or 128 meters.  Among some of its characteristics are: 82 ft building pedestal and a 66ft lotus throne.  When the Bamiyan Buddhas were destroyed by the Taliban in Afghanistan, the Chinese decided to start constuction on this Buddha.  The name comes from the nearby Tianrui hot spring which produces 60 degree waters.  As a comparison, the Statue of Liberty is 151 feet tall (if you add pedestal 305 feet).
